1 ) What is BCAA?

BCAA 1000 mg is a blend of the three Branched Chain Amino Acids (L-Valine, L-Leucine, and L-Isoleucine) in every capsule. The Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's), so named because of their unique branched chemical structure, are essential in that the body cannot make them from other compounds.

BCAA aids quick muscle recovery and protein synthesis by supporting anti-catabolic activity that prevents muscle breakdown and also supporting anabolic activity that aids muscle building.

4 ) Does it have any side-effects?

Branched-chain amino acids are possibly safe when taken by mouth appropriately. Some side effects are known to occur, such as fatigue and loss of coordination. Branched-chain amino acids should be used cautiously before or during activities where performance depends on motor coordination, such as driving. Children (up to 6 months) and in case of certain conditions like pregnancy, breastfeeding, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease), branched-chain ketoaciduria, chronic alcoholism, surgery, or low blood sugar in infants need more precautions.

5 ) What is the best time to take BCAA?

It is best when taken pre-workout or intra-workout to increase performance and post-workout to enhance recovery.

6 ) How much BCAA do I need?

With BCAA's 4-8 grams before a workout and 4-8 grams after is optimal. Lesser amounts are effective but if increased performance and recovery are needed a higher dosage is more effective.
